A classic mid-century American souvenir plate from the golden age of roadside tourism, this petite porcelain dish commemorates Mount Rushmore and the Black Hills of South Dakota. The center features a colorful transfer-printed scene of all four presidential faces carved into the granite — Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt, and Lincoln — rendered in grey and tan against a vivid blue sky with white clouds and teal pine trees below. “Mount Rushmore” arcs above in flowing red script, with “Black Hills / South Dakota” in bold black below.
The white porcelain body is finished with a bright gold rim and bears a silver foil Japan label on the reverse — placing it squarely in the 1950s–60s Japanese export souvenir ware tradition that supplied gift shops across America's national parks and roadside attractions.
A charming display piece for an Americana collection, a travel souvenir shelf, or a Black Hills / Mount Rushmore enthusiast.
