Striking pair of vintage metal vases with an Egyptian revival motif. Both pieces feature black enamel with gold and silver-tone decoration depicting stylized figures, architecture and hieroglyphic-style designs.
The larger vase stands about 7 inches tall on a round tiered base; the smaller companion vase is about 3.5 inches tall and has a classic urn shape. These make great accent pieces for a shelf, bookcase or themed décor.
Condition (read carefully):
Heavy overall wear and patina to metal and painted finish on both pieces
Flaking/loss of gold and silver tone in multiple areas
Small vase has a visible crack/chip on the rim (see photos)
Some tarnish, scratches and interior discoloration from age/use
Because of the wear, these are best suited as decorative or display pieces rather than functional vases.
